Giving December cheat sheet:
- This December, smol packed Giving Boxes full of laundry, personal-care products, food and beauty products
- Our team used their paid volunteering days to help pack them up and ship them out to those who need them most
- You can join in too by donating spare toiletries or unopened gifts to your local food or hygiene bank
The festive tunes were playing, the fairy lights were twinkling and somewhere between the mince pies and the tape guns, the smol team turned a little festive whimsy into something truly practical.
This December, several wanna-be-elves swapped laptops for packing peanuts (corn starch ones of course) and wrapped up an impressive 100 gift boxes for our Giving December campaign.
team effort.
smol staff used one of their paid volunteering days to get involved, from folding boxes to filling them up, all to make sure they’d reach people in need before Christmas via Fareshare Kent.
Packed with cleaning and personal care goodies from smol - the boxes were bolstered by the generosity of so many of our fellow B Corps and non B Corps, to make some brilliant packages for a charity that truly deserves our help. We’d like to give special thanks to:
- Candy Kittens
- Moo Free
- BAM
- UpCircle
- Overherd
- Surreal
- St Eval
It was a full day of teamwork, cardboard chaos and heart warming efforts.

the spirit of giving (and re-giving).
Feeling inspired to get into some giving boxes yourself?
Perhaps you have some unopened toiletries, extra gift sets or spare items around Christmas time… if so, your local food bank, hygiene bank or community centre would love them.
They’ll make sure your donations go straight to people who’ll truly appreciate (and need) them.

small actions, big impact.
Whether it’s donating your unopened shampoo, adding Donate a Wash to your smol plan, or supporting Suds in Schools, every small act adds up.
This year’s Giving December proved that kindness is contagious and that even the tiniest gestures can make a big difference.
Here’s to more clean starts for 2026.
